Four Brits on board tourist boat that sank off the coast of Egypt, reports say

The Foreign Office said it is providing support to “a number of British nationals and their families” after a tourist yacht sank in the Red Sea off Egypt.
Seventeen people are still missing after the ship, named the Sea Story, sank off Marsa Alam city on Monday morning.
The governor of the Red Sea region said rescuers saved 28 people from the tourist vessel.
Thirty-one tourists of various nationalities were on board the four-deck, wooden-hulled motor yacht, along with 14 crew, which had left Marsa Alam for a five-day sailing trip.
A distress call was made from the yacht shortly before dawn on Monday.
It was not immediately clear what caused the cruise boat to sink.
Major General Amr Hanafi said that armed forces are searching the area in coordination with the Maritime Rescue Center and the governorate’s operations room.
He confirmed that the rescued survivors are receiving medical care.
According to its maker’s website, the Sea Story was built in 2022 and can hold 36 passengers.
The yacht’s operator could not immediately be reached.
